Following the launch of our award-winning South Korea flagship in November 2019, The Conran Shop is delighted to announce the opening of its second location in Dongtan: a rapidly growing technical hub 40km south of Seoul. Situated in Lotte Department Store’s next-generation concept, The Conran Shop opens on the ground floor of this futuristic eight-storey space bordered by Moncler, Prada, Rimowa, Omega, and Delvaux.

Designed and realised by the in-house Creative Team, the result is a condensed version of the Gangnam flagship; a steel frame encased in obscured three-metre vertical glass fins. Fixtures are in white powder-coated steel using simple materials throughout, while raw concrete columns are clad with four floor-to-ceiling video screens featuring content by The Conran Shop's in-house Graphics Team.

The space offers both furniture and lifestyle products on the luxury floor, presented in triple height. In addition to the international brand edit within this new 400 square metre emporium, The Conran Shop Korea also operates Carl Hansen & Son and Herman Miller locations within the sixth-floor homeware department.
